Cypress Waters

OBJECTIVES

Once a desolate and vacant land, The Sound Park revitalization was intended to reengage the local community and transform the space.

SOLUTIONS

Situated between multi-use commercial and residential complexes, the pavers were installed to draw visitors from a striking leaf sculpture towards the water. A linear radial layout, with an exacting uniformity in line control, uses color variance to delineate space and encourage pedestrian traffic flow. The use of pavers allowed custom color creation with a sense of space and flow.

RESULTS

Working with the existing buildings, and a large leaf sculpture, the pavers complement a variety of vertical and horizontal design elements.  Shade and sunlight interact with the installed pavers and the surrounding land and water features to create both a unique sensory experience and feeling of community for visitors.
