ICPI PaverPac Political Action Committee
The Political Action Committee – and PAC fund – for ICPI
Take a leadership role in ICPI and the Industry by participating
ICPI continues to build itself as the voice for the interlocking concrete pavement industry. ICPI is the chief advocate for U.S. federal policies to advance the business interests of ICPI members, a key tool in ICPI’s advocacy is PaverPAC.
The purpose of PaverPAC is to help support – and elect – Members of Congress who share the views, goals and vision of ICPI members on policies that influence the growth, market expansion and revenue opportunities for the ICP industry.
PaverPAC is a unique opportunity and membership benefit of ICPI membership. It bolsters and sharpens ICPI efforts on Capitol Hill to benefit members.
By law, only ICPI members who are US citizens may contribute to PaverPAC. PaverPAC is used to advance the interests of ICPI members, and no one else.
PaverPAC enhances ICPI’s relationships and standing with Members of Congress who draft legislation, and exert influence with federal agencies, that affect federal policy on such mission-critical issues as:
Stormwater runoff/water quality policy that can benefit from ICP
Removal of barriers to adoption to use ICP
Green transportation development that provides opportunities for ICP
Green infrastructure development for green landscaping
Reasonable labor policies that will not obstruct daily business operations
Trade policies that facilitate business for ICPI members across the U.S.- Canada border
Pro-business tax policies to create an environment for construction and economic growth
Environmental regulations that recognize the beneficial uses of fly ash
Immigration policies that facilitate, rather than, stifle, access to H-2B worker visas
And more
In sum, PaverPAC provides the opportunity for ICPI members interested in the future of the interlocking concrete pavement industry to contribute to the support of select Members of Congress.
PaverPAC is the wholly-owned political asset, of ICPI members in advancing their legislative and regulatory agenda in Washington DC.
PaverPAC’s sole sources of revenue are voluntary personal contributions.
During its short existence, PaverPAC has already achieved federal “qualified” status while building its coffers and contributing to a growing list of political candidates who demonstrate leadership, support business and construction, show an interest in transportation issues that impact ICPI members, and share views of ICPI members.
As Members of Congress develop legislation, it will be imperative that ICPI step forward with expertise and advice in the policy discussions that have the potential to influence ICP industry growth and success.
