2021 HNA Awards Now Accepting Entries

Entries for the 2021 HNA Awards are now being accepted. The annual awards program honors outstanding residential and commercial hardscaping designs for walkways, patios, pool decks, outdoor living kitchens and living spaces, and driveways as well as commercial plazas and streets. The online application is available at https://hna.secure-platform.com/a.

Award winners will be recognized during the 2021 HNA Awards Recognition Presentation on October 21 taking place during the Hardscape North America trade show at the Kentucky Exposition Center. Winners and honorable mention recipients will be featured on the HNA website and in several other industry publications.

New this year, the Concrete Paver Municipality category will identify any city, county, state, or federal project installation. The project submissions must feature interlocking concrete pavement and/or permeable interlocking concrete pavement installations.

“The True North project was our largest PICP installation to date, and a lot of time was spent perfecting the design and installation specifications. It was a challenging and rewarding project and receiving the HNA Awards is the perfect affirmation!” said 2020 HNA Awards Winner Jeremy Martin of Willow Gates Landscaping LLC.

Eligible projects include residential and commercial projects in the following categories:

  • Clay Brick

  • Clay Brick - Permeable

  • Concrete Paver

  • Concrete Paver - Permeable

  • Segmental Retaining Walls

  • Combination of Hardscape Products

  • Porcelain Paver

  • Natural Stone

  • Outdoor Living Features

  • Vintage Installation

All entries, except the Vintage Installation category, must have been completed between November 1, 2017 and June 30, 2021. Projects are juried by industry experts for their excellence in design, quality, compatibility, and construction.  The entry deadline is September 3.

The HNA Awards are produced by the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI) and endorsed by the National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA) and Brick Industry Association (BIA).
